Harassment Prevention Training Program

Staffing companies have a legal obligation to comply with all applicable employment laws. Just like other types of employees, temporary employees are protected by employment laws—including those pertaining to harassment.

“The Respectful Workplace,” the ASA–NYSA harassment prevention training program, is a staffing-specific, interactive course designed to meet the needs of New York staffing companies. This course content was developed by Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP (NYSA’s corporate counsel), in conjunction with the ASA legal department.

About the Course

Features of this program, which takes about 35 minutes for employees to complete, include

•  Unlimited access to the online course for the calendar year.
• A course page customized for your staffing company that includes mandated information:
• Your company’s antiharassment policy
• Who to contact with questions
• Who to contact to file a complaint
• A summary of the information presented in “The Respectful Workplace” (8-page PDF).
• Course can be completed on mobile devices as well as laptop and desktop computers
• Suggested email to invite employees to take the course
• Automated notification to both employer and employee when the worker completes the entire course
