This session will discuss reasonable accommodations, diverging views on arbitration agreements, and implementing sexual harassment and non-discrimination policies and practices.

3:15 - 4:15 p.m. Legislative Update – What’s New for 2020?

This session will address several legal and legislative updates that will impact staffing firms and other employers in 2020 and going forward. Jason will discuss the New York salary history inquiry ban and best practices to ensure recruiters are complying; recent changes to New York’s discrimination and harassment laws to afford greater protections to employees; an update on the New York payroll card regulations; New York’s recent ban on discrimination based on reproductive health decisions; the use of employee arbitration agreements; and other proposed or pending legislation at the State and City levels.

4:15 - 4:45 p.m. Interactive Law Day Game 

During this interactive session, attendees will be asked how they would handle hypothetical situations that are real-life possibilities in the staffing world. Jason Klimpl will analyze the attendees’ responses and provide guidance on the correct way to handle these situations. Prizes will be awarded to attendees who participate.
