Best Practices for Protecting Your Receivables:
Contracting and Strategic Considerations

NYSA's 2020 Law Day has been converted to a four-part webinar series.  The four webinars will be held during the week of August 24th at 11:00 a.m.

As staffing firms’ clients continue to navigate the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many of their clients are taking longer to pay staffing firms’ invoices. Other clients may be on the brink of collapse. In this session, learn how to take precautionary measures upfront, through contracting and due diligence efforts, as well what to do if the client has actually filed a bankruptcy case.

We will discuss the following topics:

  • Spotting Financial Problems With Your Clients
  • Due Diligence Efforts
  • Drafting Client and Subcontractor Agreements to Mitigate Future Credit and “Claw Back” Risk
  • What to Do If Your Client Ends Up in Bankruptcy

Speaker:

  • Michael J. Riela, Esq., Partner, Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP
